When I found out I was expecting triplets, I knew the journey ahead would be filled with...
Disney isn’t a Theme park; it’s a magical world where dreams come true, especially when experienced through the eyes of children. As a self-proclaimed Disney enthusiast mom, I’ve been sharing my love for Disney with my kids since they were just 8 months old. Through the chaos of managing multiple little ones, I’ve learned a few tips and tricks to make the Disney experience enjoyable for the whole family.
Tip # 1: Lower Expectations
Accept that doing everything in one day or trip is impossible, especially with young children. Embrace the magic in the moments you do experience rather than focusing on what you couldn’t do.
Tip # 2: Go at the Child’s Pace
Tantrums are inevitable when kids are pushed beyond their limits. Allow for breaks, snacks, and plenty of fluids to keep everyone happy and energized throughout the day.
Tip #3: Plan Your Top 10
With limited stamina, prioritize the must-do experiences for your family. Plan three to four rides, one to two character interactions, and catch a parade or fireworks show within a 4-5 hour window.
Tip # 4: Utilize the Genie+ Pass
Maximize your time by reserving must-do rides with the Genie+ Pass. Set alarms for ride reservations and plan other activities around those times to optimize your day.
Tip #5: Character Dining Experiences
Take advantage of character dining experiences, especially when kids eat free under 3. Not only are these meals economical, but they also offer multiple character interactions, enhancing your Disney experience.
Tip #6: Weather Advisory
Be prepared for Florida’s unpredictable weather, especially during the summer months. Beat the heat by visiting the parks early or in the late afternoon. Pack essentials like wet rags, fans, and plenty of water. And don’t forget ponchos, stroller covers, and waterproof shoes for unexpected rain showers.
If you’re planning a trip to Disney and feeling overwhelmed, don’t hesitate to reach out for assistance. With over 25 trips under my belt in the past five years, navigating Disney with young kids has become second nature to me. Let’s make your Disney adventure magical and memorable for the whole family!
